Simple guide to Uk to Australia Skilled Independant migration process in 3 Steps –
Stage 1 – Skills Assessment
Before anything else, your occupation has to be recognised in Australia. An assessing body (e.g., VETASSESS/TRA/Engineers Australia) checks your qualifications and work history. You’ll usually provide references, detailed duties, certificates/transcripts, and—if needed—an English test (UK passport holders are generally exempt from the basic requirement but can earn extra points with a high score).
Why it matters
No positive assessment = no skilled visa pathway.
Common pitfalls we prevent
- Picking the wrong occupation code
- References that don’t prove the tasks level
- Missing/weak evidence that causes refusals or rework
What we do
Map your occupation/code, build a compliant evidence pack, and lodge a clean application so you move to EOI faster.
Stage 2 – Expression of Interest (EOI)
Your EOI in SkillSelect is your line-up ticket—not a visa. It displays your points (age, English, qualifications, experience, partner skills, state nomination, etc.). Invitations are offered based on points and demand; some arrive in months, others take longer, and some don’t arrive.
Why it matters
A precise, well-evidenced EOI maximises your chances and avoids problems later.
Common pitfalls we prevent
- Over-claiming points you can’t later prove
- Ignoring state nomination pathways and ROIs
- Letting details go out of date
What we do
Audit points, prepare EOIs/ROIs for the right states, and keep your profile current.
Stage 3 – Visa Application
When an invitation lands, the visa application must exactly match your EOI claims, with full documents. Health checks and police clearances are required; biometrics may be requested.
Why it matters
Inconsistencies between EOI and visa can cause delays—or refusals.
Common pitfalls we prevent
- Evidence that doesn’t match EOI claims
- Late or incorrect health/police checks
- Missing responses to case officer requests
What we do
Assemble the full submission, manage correspondence with Home Affairs, and keep you updated through to decision.
Fee transparency: We keep professional fees lower at the early stages so everyone can put themselves forward fairly. Government/third-party fees (assessment, English test, medicals, police checks, visa charge) are separate.
